This report compiles case studies of sustainable ecotourism, agriculture, and fishing practices in BIMP-EAGA to showcase successful ways to manage nature, culture, and heritage. Each case study showcases best practices and their impact on the environment and the socioeconomic condition and well-being of communities.

In Brunei Darussalam, the report profiles a community-based tourism program inside a rainforest. In Indonesia, the report examines how science and technology helped in the success of a whale shark tourism program. In Malaysia, the report studies an ecotourism program inside the Mulu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the Philippines, the report looks at a fisheries conservation program inside the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, another World Heritage site. These are just among the 29 case studies featured in the report.

The report hopes to encourage all stakeholders to adopt, adapt, and champion the best practices in environmental management. The report could help facilitate trade, business, and investment in each country.
